We are thrilled to share with you that our team is expanding.

Jacqui Alexander is joining as our Education and Development Manager to further enhance the programs we offer within schools, through the Foundation.

Graeme Burnett, CEO of The Russell Anderson Foundation said of Jacqui’s appointment

“As the demand for our services continues to increase, the appointment of Jacqui as our Education and Development Manager, confirms the commitment of our Foundation to provide our partner schools and their families with the highest level of support.

Jacqui brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to her new role, blending an education background and her expertise from the business sector. She is an excellent addition to our Senior Team and she will spearhead the pursuit of the many opportunities that exist for the continued growth of our Foundation.

On sharing what it means to her, Jacqui said “I am very excited to have been given the opportunity to join RAF. Having already worked in partnership with the Foundation, I have seen first-hand just how much of a positive impact they make on the children participating in their programs.

With years of industry and education experience, I look forward to developing and supporting RAF initiatives to improve attainment levels and outcomes for pupils, as well as helping to instill confidence and self-belief in our young people.”

We wish Jacqui every success in her new role and look forward to the deeper impact she will have on the children we work with.
About the Foundation:

Formed in 2012, the Russell Anderson Foundation began by delivering free football sessions to children in some of the more socially deprived areas of the city.

These days, what RAF does encompasses so much more than just football. The whole ethos of the Foundation is to empower children to make good decisions and give them a chance to reach their potential.

RAF works with over 2000 children on a weekly basis across our 9 partner schools in the city and, although a large part of the work remains focused on health and well-being and being physically active, RAF also works with the schools in other areas to improve attainment levels and help with better outcomes for the pupils.

This includes practical cooking lessons, food support, mentoring programmes, workplace visits and employability opportunities to name some of the programmes RAF is currently delivering.
