Aberdeen Sports Village have long supported the work we do at the Foundation and with all our major events happening in its incredible facilities, it was the ideal next step to be able to call ASV home.
They have provided our coaches and small team with office and meeting room space in the heart of the area we work in most and it is a perfect fit for all involved.
Graeme Burnett, RAF CEO said of the partnership; “Our Foundation is excited to announce the Partnership Agreement with the ASV. This collaboration will enable us to expand the range of services for the children and the families that we support from our partner schools. Our coaches will also enjoy the benefits of having access to the excellent ASV facilities.”
“As an embedded Community Partner, the aim of our Foundation and the ASV is to give children the opportunity to fulfil their potential by ‘levelling the playing field’ and therefore closing the attainment gap by, not only focusing on their development within school time, but also engaging with families to make meaningful change to local communities. Our Foundation uses sport as a tool to engage the children and to guide them away from any negative effects in their lives, encouraging them to fulfil their potential, regardless of the obstacles they face. The new Partnership will allow the existing synergies between our organisations to flourish in the years ahead”.
Graham Morrison ASV's Head of Sports & Events said; “Aberdeen Sports Village is delighted that their partnership with RAF continues to grow and flourish, and especially now that the foundation is calling ASV their home”.
Graham continued; “ASV is for everyone in the community and one of our major goals is to make a real difference, providing as many people as possible with the opportunities to participate in sport and activity. Collaborating with a foundation who have similar values to improve people’s lives and make measurable differences has helped both of our organisations achieve great success in achieving this, and, with the local children benefiting the most. The opportunities that will follow as this partnership grows are very exciting as we can make an even bigger impact on the community, and providing even more for local children”.
